My first exhibition at the Deaf Cat coffee bar in Rochester was a great success, as you can see by the photos the black background sets them off nicely. Thank you to everyone who came to see the work and supported me. It was an exciting 2 weeks. I`m now working towards the next show. The Marshes around were I live is teeming with life. With all this rain it’s filled up lakes, dykes & ponds, nightingales & marsh frogs are competing with song. I have started work on new collages with a need to bring more colour.
I just hope I don`t run out of magazines !
Love Where You Live
I’ve been walking, bird watching and observing the North Kent Marshes for 25 years.
They begin at the end of my road, next to the ancient church of St Mary’s, Higham.
Not many local people appreciated the marshes until they were under threat
from a proposed huge airport and now the Lower Thames Crossing.
These issues have deepened my appreciation and I’ve been involved in doing
a lot of conservation work, as well as my artwork.
